hCG Plateau Breakers

Many people have asked us what to do when they stop losing weight while on the diet. First of all, if you haven't lose weight in the last three days, it can be because of water retention or slight cheating that would cause this. Normally if someone cheats while on the diet, they can stop losing for a day or two and then start to lose weight again. Water weight can come into play if you are not drinking the required 8 or more glasses a day. Once you drink the water, your body will release the excess it is holding on to.
A plateau can occur if you are not losing weight for 3 to 7 days. Some people may have poor digestion and can increase the dose of hCG to 13 drops at a time or add digestive emzyne supplements to their daily routine.

Things to do to break "plateaus" while following the hCG protocol:

Try drinking at least 2 to 3 quarts of water per day.

Have you tried drinking green tea? A glass or two a day may help.

You may be eating too many apples in a row, make sure to mix up your fruits.

Cut down on american beef.

In some cases, oranges, tomatoes and shrimp have slowed down some peoples weight loss. Try eating only 
one of the items for 3 days in a row. After nine days, compare the weight loss for each one and take note if 
one of them is slowing down your weight loss

Make sure that your spices or condiments do not contain any sugar. Garlic salt and seasoning salts offen contain sugar that you may not be aware of.

Some people can get away with mixing vegetables, others cannot. If you are mixing them, try eating only one vegetable per meal.

If you are having troulbe with constipation, try drinking smooth move or green tea.

Cut down on breadsticks.

If your hCG has been exposed to heat greater than 80 degrees for 48 hours or more, it may have lost its strength and should be replaced. Also, avoid leaving the bottle in direct sunlight.

If you are at your ideal weight for your body type, you should drop the HCG program and go to phase 3 to keep the weight off.

In the case of women, your monthly cycle could come into play.

Have you changed any medications? it could take time for your body to adjust to the changes.

If you haven't lost any weight for 5 days, try doing an "apple day", many people report weight loss of two pounds the following day.

Another more drastic measure would be to do a "steak day", this involves drinking water, coffee or tea all day and eating an apple or tomatoe and steak for dinner and returning to the normal hCG diet protocol the next day.

Light exercise, 15 minutes a day, (not muscle building) can help with the weight loss, even though it is not a requirement. Phyiscally active people seem to lose a few more pounds while on the diet. 

Are you getting your full 8 hours of sleep?
